How do you get duplex? Is it a cost option at purchase?

OMG!!! What a piece of *&^%!! This printer WILL NOT print black ink on glossy papers, which is the only reason I need a wide format printer in my company. Instead, you have to use the "high quality grayscale" setting, which uses up color cartridges at an astounding rate.

That's right, you can't print black with your black ink cartridge. In fact, I had to replace the color cartridges twice before I even had to change out the black SETUP cartridge.

WHAT A RIPOFF!!! Never again HP, never again.

Looks like an EPSON is in my future.

This appears to be your only post on any subject, so forgive my skepticism.

black on gloss, eish Hp please improve ink quality. refill inks seem to hold better than your originals but they r not good for my printer so do something and label them as NEW IMPROVED IKS

Or he is so frustrated with it that he made an account to keep other customers from running into the same frustration?

I bought one in the end and it works fine, a little thirsty maybe.

Just bought one to replace an aging (but brilliant) HP7000
Have HP really produced a machine that won't print on ISO SRA3? Unbelievable!
Slower than 7000 (by a huge margin) and printed colour gamut is really poor. Machine is noisy. Only pro is that (contrary to other reports) it does print black on coated gloss really well, unfortunately the colours just swim around on top of the paper and you get covered in ink!
Network ability is okay, but with limited control over output pretty useless unless you only use A4, so really a waste of money for an 'up to A3+' machine.
I've given mine to the kids rather than scrap it, which did cross my mind!

Bought one for my charity seven months ago, printed ~1200 A3 envelopes twice (3-month interval), then the paper feed failed about a month and a half ago: HP replaced it under warranty (no hassle that time) but the replacement failed after printing less than 50 DL envelopes. HP were reluctant to replace the replacement but yielded equally reluctantly to persuasion.

The feed mechanism is prone to thinking there is a paper jam when there is clearly nothing of the sort. The first one refused to link up to our wifi at any time, but the second one connected with zero problems.

We'll give HP one more chance but if there are any more problems we'll probably send it back as NFFP and try to get our money back.
