We got this HP 3050 priner and scanner two weeks ago. The idea was that we all could print from our notebook to the PC using wi-fi. BUT - it is almost impossible to make this work, then only the printer works, but on one notebook, the none works etc etc. You cant expect this printer to work every time you need a hjob done - expect to use 1/2 an hour or more to make it work - the silly pop-up informing you that there is no connection to the printer is anoying. After a full day I had to give up - connecting the good old USB, and the printer insists on using the wi-fi, aparently only way out of this is to uninstall the whole thing and reinstall without wi-fi. There may be a clever method to do this - but frankly - I dont know what to do. So got a priner which hasnt been in use since we baught it. This printer is one of the few things I baught which is of no use - together with the Lindy Clone station wich also stands in a corner unused - they make a nice cupple. So - DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT !

Excellent printer. Both text and colour output are of a very high standard, considering the price. The scanner can be used independently of a computer connection, which is a big plus. The only downside I found is that you can't set the printer up to use both the USB and wireless options. It's either one or the other.

Terrible printer. I bought this small size printer for a condo I live in only half of the year. It had very light use and in less than a year it didn't print or scan anymore. Of course, you have ot pay a premium to get help from HP. The wireless didn't work and I had to use a USB cord to print from my laptop. It wouldn't print in just black, even though there is an option button for it. I purchased it at Walmart and they have only a 30 day return policy. Very disappointing. Do not waste your money!
