With a 58 litre capacity, and three adjustable shelves, the Hotpoint SHS33X can be arranged to cook any number of items large or small, and can be heated using three different heating functions. The single oven cavity also doubles up as a full surface variable grill, which is located on the ceiling of the cavity. The oven heats up quickly using the fan assisted circulation, making for an even distribution of heat throughout. This means there will not be a hot spot at the top and a cooler area in the bottom which you get with many conventional ovens.
The SHS33X is also built with a timer, which is easy to set and use, as are the temperature controls which are designed to be easy to turn and simple to read. The oven itself is energy efficient, with an overall rating of A, which will save money when it comes to the electricity bill, and the fan runs quietly. The oven is easy to clean, with enamel lined walls and stainless steel exteriors, all surfaces are wipe-clean.
The only issues to be found with this oven concern small things; the timer alarm is quite quiet, meaning you will have to be close to the oven to know when items are finished cooking. Also, the door does get rather hot, despite being double glazed, and the grill pan handle is quite small when compared with the size of the pan, so using oven gloves is preferable. Despite these few little complaints, overall this oven works incredibly well, heating food quickly and evenly, whilst looking great and performing efficiently.
