The Hotpoint LFT228A is built in, so it won’t stick out in any nicely designed kitchens as it can be tucked away behind a cupboard that perfectly matches the rest of the kitchen. It’s a very big model at over a metre wide but has a strangely small capacity of only twelve place settings. This is more than big enough for a couple or a small family, but considering the size of the Hotpoint LFT228A you’d expect a bigger capacity.
It does clean well, though, and it has been rated an A for its washing efficiency. There are a total of eight programmes on the Hotpoint LFT228A, which is really good as the majority of dishwashers have five programmes at most. These programmes include things like soak, auto duo wash, auto normal, auto super wash, delicate, eco, Daily 60 °C and 35 minute fast wash. This level of choice is brilliant compared to most machines.
You don’t have to worry about the dishes whilst they’re being washed, either. The Sensor System will keep an eye on the dishes as they’re washing, automatically stabilising wash intensity and making sure the cycle lasts just as long as it needs to in order to clean properly. It’ll even figure out how many rinses it needs to do to get the dishes really clean.
An overall quiet appliance, the Hotpoint LFT228A shouldn’t cause any problems or disrupt anyone if it’s running late at night or early in the morning. Although there is some difficulty in loading because large dinner plates don’t fit on the lower rack, the Hotpoint washer has an adjustable top rack that nullifies these issues for the most part. With an A Class energy efficiency rating it won’t guzzle energy either so you should be able to save a bit of money on your electricity bills.
