Hotpoint FZS175G

With a capacity of 197 litres, the Hotpoint FZS175G is one of the more generous upright freezers on the market, and with seven deep compartments, there is more than enough space for larger items (legs of lamb, whole birds) to fit with room to spare. The compartments are durable plastic and they are transparent, for easy viewing of their contents.

This is a 4 star rated freezer, meaning food can be kept in it for up to a year. The freezer is fitted with Fast Freeze, to quickly cool fresh food, so that it keeps for longer, and it is Frost Free, meaning that this freezer will never need to be defrosted. As with most modern freezers, the Hotpoint has been awarded an A Class energy efficiency rating and runs quietly enough to be kept in the kitchen without getting annoying.

Featuring a handy door alarm to let you know if the door has accidentally been left open, the Hotpoint FZS175G’s handle is large and gives good leverage. The look of the freezer itself is very sleek, narrow enough to not be obtrusive, with a curved door and graphite finish. If the mood takes you, the door can be reversed, so that it can be opened from either the left or the right.

Much like many other upright freezers in it's class, the temperature controls and warning light are on the inside of the Hotpoint, and some people who have purchased this freezer have found the door only opening as far as a 90 degree angle to be somewhat awkward. Beyond these two slight criticisms though, this freezer is excellent, especially for a larger household.
