Hotpoint Ariston RCNAA33P
The Ariston's greatest feature is its large capacity, at 225 litres (roughly two shopping trolleys worth of food), it is perfect for large families or people who keep a large amount of frozen food. Two baskets sit in the top, to make smaller items easier to reach. These are removable, and can slide across the rim of the freezer for easy access to the contents below.
This freezer comes in polar white only, with a protruding silver handle at the edge of the lid. The freezer is on castors, making it easy to move, and there are spacers provided for protection, if the freezer is to be pushed up against a wall.
Like most chest freezers, the Hotpoint Ariston RCNAA33P is designed to be used in low temperature areas, like garages or outhouses. The lid of the freezer also features a key-operated lock, making it ideal for keeping in external buildings. The lid also plays host to an internal light, making it much easier to see the contents in the bottom of the freezer.
Whilst the Hotpoint Ariston RCNAA33P has been awarded an A Class energy efficiency rating, it is also a four star freezer, meaning food can be kept in it for up to a year, and it has a SuperFreeze button, which will cool the contents quickly, especially handy to freeze fresh cut vegetables and unfrozen meats quickly, allowing them to keep for longer.
There is very little to complain about with the Ariston, the only slight issue is that the lid has to be opened to a certain degree for the light to come on, but having a light in the first place is a massive advantage over many other rival chest freezers. Coming in at between £260-310, this is an inexpensive and reliable product, well worth purchasing.
