Well done Trusted Reviews! I have enjoyed your site for some years now and it has continually got better. Keep up the great work!!

comment Steve said on 28th January 2009

The layout & quality of writing keeps me coming back several times a day - keep it up!

The Register was once like this then it turned into a tabloid, please just keep on doing what you do well.

comment Bluepork said on 28th January 2009

Well done. Would this be a suitable form to suggest one further improvement though? How about the option for commenters to be notified (emailed) when someone else replies to a comment?

comment Ed said on 28th January 2009

It's something we're working towards, Bluepork. There's no time frame yet but it's definitely something we have in the back of our minds.

I will be one of those unique hits after only finding the site last summer whilst searching for reviews of laptops. Your review of the Medion Akoya was enough to make me buy one for my dad!

comment ChaosDefinesOrder said on 28th January 2009

Greatwebsite, keep it up guys!

I have a suggestion/request: is it possible to work in the ability to quote comments? There's been many times with "@[name]" that can get confusing! (slight grammar fail there but you get what I mean)

comment mjaffk said on 28th January 2009

Way to go, TR!

comment Wesley said on 28th January 2009

I may live in the US but I still come to this site for all my technology reviews. You guys are lot more thorough in your reviews than any of the American review sites I've come across. Keep up the great work!

comment Pbryanw said on 28th January 2009

Well done TR. I remember coming to this site just after it had opened (was it in 2002?) - it was good then, it's even better now.

Oh, and Hugo does deserve a bonus (as does Gordon) for bringing us the best of the tech news.

comment Jay said on 28th January 2009

Well done guys, I've been using TR for all my tech needs for at least two years now and never looked back I also recommend it to everyone with a tech need as I feel it portrays exactly what it says on the tin that is I do trust the reviews and dare I say it shows how some other sites are lacking.
Heres to a great next 12 months!

comment Ed said on 28th January 2009

Again, ChaosDefinesOrder, it's something we're working towards.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Phryanw, don't the rest of us deserve a bonus?! ;)

comment Keith said on 28th January 2009

Well you can knock down the unique users by at least 2, I often browse the site from 3 different computers & networks.. :)

comment smc8788 said on 28th January 2009

I think the success really is in the name. There are only a handful of 'independent' technology review sites which I could say I truly trust - and this is one of them - as so many seem biased towards one company or another. A number of other sites only offer single page reviews which offer none of the really useful information I am looking for before I purchase a product, and I think I am safe in saying I have never disagreed with a review, at least not on a fundamental level - only on matters of opinion. Whether looking for a review of a product or keeping up with the lastet news TR is always my first port of call, you seem to have everything covered. I needed a new printer the other day and didn't know where to start, but you showed me the way!

comment Riyad said on 28th January 2009

Thanks for all the support guys!

We've got a lot of plans for 2009, so watch this space :)

comment hank said on 28th January 2009

What like erm... Car technology reviews LOL

Sorry I HAD to...

Congratulations

comment richardcrossley said on 28th January 2009

Well done.

To add substance to your results. I discovered your site in 2004 whilst looking for a laptop. You had reviewed it and came up trumps. I still have the laptop, 4.5 years on and it's still doing the job it bought for, running VM Ware.

Since then I've bought more things based on reviews I have read on your site. Keep up the good work.

comment ravmania said on 28th January 2009

I've been reading for nearly five years, visit multiple times a day and recommend it to everyone looking for any sort of gear.

The best recent addition has defintely been the comments. Sometimes they're more interesting that the attached article and also for fostering a community feel to the site.

Keep it up!

comment Mário F said on 28th January 2009

Your TV and Digital Camera reviews are the best !! .. keep up the good work ..

comment basicasic said on 28th January 2009

Love the site. The sheer breadth and scope of the tech reviews and news are what makes this site so addictive and within the constraints any review site has to endure you guys do a good job. I love reading about things I'll never be able to afford and I bought my TV based on one of your reviews. So thank you for that.

My only gripe is the advertising features/articles 'sponsored by' or 'in association with' anybody who'll pay which in my opinion greatly damages the perceived impartiality of your site.

Other than that keep up the good work.

comment darkspark88 said on 28th January 2009

The reason why I continue to like this site is for the speaker and earphone reviews. You don't normally put down £60 or more on a pair of headphones unless knowing they're good and there are not many opinions I trust when it comes to technology like this. Even if the reviewers tend to give glowing reviews of 10 on occasion.

comment iwasanerdd said on 28th January 2009

I was a compulsive video magazine buyer, whattv and video, home cinema choice et al but thanks to the clean layout and the clear and comprehensive reviews at trustedreviews.com I get my av news fix fresh and daily. Btw my last trustedreviews recommended purchase was at x-mas gone, ati 4870...nice. Keep on trucking trustedreviews.com. Iwasanerdd OUT.

Congratulations TR. With so many technology and news sites on the web it is great to see you find success with a site typified by: quality reviews and news on a wide breadth of subjects; a simple but elegant and functional design (I like the orange); humor; and innovations that actually make the site better (like the article comments that are moderated).

One small suggestion if I may. I know you are focused on the UK market but TR has alot to offer the North American reader as well, it would be great if you would mention what the corresponding North American model of a TV is when you review a model that has a sku specific to the European market.

Cheers,

The site is the best for laptops and the like so its great to hear that so many use this site, also this site looks good on opera mini in mobile view i use my n95 8gb as i have no net at home yet (waiting for fibrecity) great site!

comment Riyad said on 29th January 2009

@Gdub - You have a fair point there, but it’s not always easy to find a corresponding US model for TVs sold in the UK, since often the feature set can differ significantly. Also it’s actually hard to track down the similar US models, since even the PR people at the TV companies in the UK don’t always know what the corresponding US model numbers are. That said, I will endeavour to find this information where possible.

@basicasic - you will note that no review content is ever “in association with” any type of manufacturer, since that would seriously compromise integrity. I also refuse to allow any advertorial content to be published on TR, by which I mean that there is no content on the site that has been dictated by a manufacturer.

Where we have had features or tutorials “in association with” it’s because we’re not evaluating anything, we’re either showing you how to do something, or discussing a technology in general terms, and using multiple manufacturers as examples. With these features the sponsor does not tell us what to write, and has no input into the editorial.

Great news, T.R. team. Congratulations - a well deserved win. (Still not quite got over that MBA coverage though!)

comment John said on 5th February 2009

Pat on the back fellas.
Love a review site that is English too - prices and release schedules being relevant for once, unlike a lot of other places out there on the web!
I love the site, can't believe I found it by accident last year.....
Might help if you spread the word even more!
