The TrackStik worked flawlessly and although there are left and right selector buttons to the left of the keyboard, it was easy to tap, and even tap and drag with the TrackStik itself.

You’ll have no trouble staying connected with the OQO model 1 - with integrated WiFi and Bluetooth, you should be able to get online or download your email pretty much anywhere. There are both USB and FireWire connectors on the model 1 and a docking cable is supplied in the box which adds further USB and FireWire ports as well as an Ethernet port.

The 5in TFT screen is transflective so it should be good for both indoor and outdoor use. There’s also an ambient light sensor, so the backlight of the screen will be automatically adjusted accordingly.

The slimline lithium polymer battery is good for three hours of use, but it is removable, so you can carry a spare with you. The battery is also intelligent, so you can press a button and get an indication of how much charge is left.

The model 1 is currently only available in the US, but I did my best to convince OQO that Europe will be a good market to address. Nevertheless I will try to get an OQO model 1 in the TrustedReviews labs for a full review.
