Yes, people still buy these. Thery are handy especially for people with children.

In the US there is no USB port! I read the manual and it shows an empty space between the phones and audio I/O ports. I called Sony and the sales rep confirmed that there is no USB port. Therefore the unit cannot play videos stored on flash drives. Perhaps in the European market there is a different version.
