Nothing revolutionary, just some cosmetic tweaks - the USB port and buttons have been repositioned.

i know this is probably not a fair comparison, but how does the dv-410's picture quality compare to OPPO's 980? is the 980 marginally better or significantly better?

Beaky69, apparently the USB output for the DV-400 was in SD and the one for DV-410 is in HD format.

i don't think a USB port can be described as being in SD or HD format, perhaps you're referring to its ability to play WMV in HD via the USB port? If so you can only play WMV files in SD on the 400 and 410.
As for picture quality I think the OPPO is better but the difference isn't massive.
