"...which could make it very attractive for anyone who isn't allowed to build their living room around their TV."
What(or who) could possibly stand in the way of a man completely redesigning his front room around his TV and mutiple other gadgets, I ask? :o)

I'm not too bothered about the lack of HDMI, since neither my Sky HD box or Xbox 360 will output multi-channel sound over HDMI, and therefore need to be connected via optical anyway. Also, you only really need HDMI for the lossless audio codecs like Dolby TrueHD, which the Panorama doesn't support.
And if you're wondering why it doesn't support the lossless codecs, B&W said that they tried both TrueHD and DTS Master Audio and could tell no difference in quality over standard Dolby Digital and DTS. It is just a soundbar after all :)

That looks like sweet bit of kit, looking forward to the review! HDMI input would be the icing on the cake.
