If they really wanted to kick Sony in the teeth they would release a Blu-Ray for a reasonable price. If there was an easy region hackable £100-200 profile 2.0 Blu-Ray player, it would start stealing PS3 sales big time. I'd get one.
If Toshiba don't release one some one has to... the formats been out over 2 years already. It's crazy that they still cost £300. HD DVD would have been the ideal format but since it's gone then Blu-Ray will have to get better sooner or later.

Well from reviews in the US picture quality is barely different from a player costing half as much, swing and a miss Toshiba. Now incorporate this into a blu-ray player so people can play blu-ray AND get some extra use out of their DVD's and we might start listening.

Rumour has it some Regzas might get the same upscaling tech, which would be nice. I've yet to see a TV that could make The Hits look good.

Toshiba need to bite the bullet and start making Blu-ray players.
