Funny you should mention the Iriver H140 as I still use mine. I've never found a replacement unit that has all its features: true line out for my headphone amp, wired remote control so it can be tucked away safely, and FLAC support. Needs Rockbox to make it effective but seven years on it's still my player of choice.

Sadly I sold my H140. Great player. Weirdly, I miss my old Rio Riot even more, even though it was the size of an Atari Lynx.

It astounds me how this ever got to market. This is exactly the type of product that was

a) created to fill a gap that doesn't exist in the market.
b) expensive for the only reason that it won't see in great volume, not due to any sort of premium feature, USP or branding opportunity
c) Aims to part fools with their hard earned (or otherwise) money

With a name like Hisoundaudio and 'Audiophile' branded on the rear you know it's going to be anything but.

The company has another player AMP3 Pro, the inside looks just like Studio-V. Anything but iPod has a detailed review -- Oh, the humanity!
