Highlights is yet another app that aims to help you find fun places to go or things to do. The difference is that it takes its information from user reviews on the Foursquare and Gowalla check-in services, before running it through its ranking engine to pre-sort the wheat from the chaff. It covers a whole range of different venues and activities, from hotels, bars and clubs, to cinemas and days out. 
Listings are displayed on a map and there are photos and reviews for all the entries to help you decide which one is right for you. The app even has a built-in planner to let you create an itinerary for your day before you start exploring.
