With Doom 3 we fully expected the GO 6800 to leave the MR X800 in its wake, but as you can see from the numbers, this didn’t happen. Things look pretty even across the spread of tests, apart from the 1,024 x 768 with no FSAA test, where the ATI chipset pulled ahead significantly. On this point we’re not convinced that the MR X800 was performing the 8x anisotropic filtering as it was meant to, since there are other instances where the AF seemed to have little or no effect on performance.
