Game Test 1 - Car Chase

Watch as your weapons laden vehicle accelerates through a scorched, futuristic landscape dodging missiles and returning fire. High adrenaline action!

Using the Ipion physics engine from Havok, Game Test 1 is probably the most game-like in nature. It features a combination of single, double and triple textured objects and some vertex shader use for shadows. Real-time physics is employed for things like the truck suspension and tyre traction and most objects feature full collision detection.

The following features are added to the high detail run:

Dynamic shadows for all non-static objects
Spotlight highlights on objects lit by robot searchlights
Tons of additional objects
Objects have more details
The terrain has a third texture layer
More flying robots

Primarily Tests For: Polygon throughput, fill rate. This test is CPU dependant for physics engine.

Game Test 2 - Dragothic

A mysterious female warrior rides on the back of a huge brooding dragon, which swoops to attack an unsuspecting village. Watch as the villagers flee while bowmen fire blazing arrows into the air.

This test utilise a new Global Illumination (GI) system, Lumigraph by Remedy Entertainment (www.remedy.fi) and Hybrid (www.hybrid.fi). Like Game Test 1 it features a combination of single, double and triple textured objects and uses vertex shaders for both shadows and animation morphing.

The following features are added to the high detail run:

The whole dragon is displayed, creating a heavier workload
The village is much larger The additive light maps are in use. Low detail has only colour maps and multiplicative lightmaps
Dynamic shadows on the running people
There are bowmen shooting burning arrows

Primarily Tests For: Multitexturing and shader performance.
