I'm not sure why they're boating about the high power consumption, it wasn't that long ago when the top of the range directX 9 cards were using half the power of this.

@Xiphias: Yes, and they could do about an eighth of the work. I'd say that's progress.

looks like the 5870 is on a par with the gtx295 in benchmarks but is £50 cheaper and uses 15% less power,trouble is if physx is going to be pushed on from arkhams success the extra £50 might be worth it.
