There may be no nVidia product announcements itself at nVision, but that doesn’t mean there's nothing new here. Don't worry, I'm not talking about Sixense again, but rather Zotac and its NITRO overclocking tool.

The device is designed to work with any Zotac GeForce graphics card, allowing quick and easy adjustment of clock speeds. The device plugs into a USB port on any Windows PC and, drivers aside, doesn't need any software. The NITRO an eminently simple three-button control interface, which even the most inept of computer users should be able to cope with. Although why such a person would be overclocking their GPU I can't think.


The display itself shows GPU temperatures, fan speeds and, of course, clock speeds and allows the control of the later two. The basic idea is pretty similar to the overclocking capabilities of Asus' XG Station, but without the limitation of an out-dated GeForce 8600 GT at its heart. I've been told TR shouldn't have any problem getting a unit in for review once they're available, so we'll be able to have a closer look at the NITRO in due course.
