Rumour: Xbox 360 Dashboard Going 3D, Motion Sensitive

Far be it for us to question Microsoft's ambition, but rumours of a new dashboard interface for the Xbox 360, controlled by an as-yet-unannounced motion sensitive controller might arguably give us just cause. Nonetheless, according to Kotaku "a number of sources" have (off the record) confirmed that a second interface option will indeed be bad made available for the dashboard.

As you might guess, the picture (again, courtesy of Kotaku) above isn't of the interface, but hey, we can dream. Judging from on what Kotaku has been able to gather from its sources, this motion sensor-controlled interface will actually work in a pretty similar style to that seen in Minority Report, with menu segments sliding around, in a pseudo-3D environment. I say pseudo as you're not exactly going to be wearing glasses just to navigate a few menus.
Supposedly the current 'blade' structure will still remain, and is simply being given a new control method, rather than a complete redesign. Of course, that isn't to say that in the future that couldn't change.
While this rumour sounds pretty far-fetched, it also has the potential to be pretty darned cool if true. An announcement is likely to be made at E3, if at all, so eyes peeled people.
