Around two years ago TrackMania Nations was launched and boy was it good. In fact the casual racer was a staple after-hours diversion of the TR team for quite a while. Now its sequel, TrackMania Nations Forever, is available and it has the fantastic price tag of ziltch - everyone's favourite price.

For your money time spent downloading all 500MB of the game, you'll be getting the vast majority of what made TrackMania Nations so great, for no outlay whatsoever. Specifically, 65 tracks, a fully fledged single player mode and a variety of multiplayer modes. New with this Nations release is the "forever" Stadium environment - you'll have to play the game to find out what that is because it's not explained in the press release.

The track editor has also been revamped, which should mean that the 65 track count will skyrocket in the near future as the TrackMania community gets busy creating new courses.

Players of this free version of the game will also be able to play online with owners of the retail TrackMania United Forever. While the paid-for game does include content inaccessible by freeloaders, this combination does mean an even larger community with which to play.
