There are two kinds of people in the world: those that are playing Halo 3 right now and those, like you, who are unable to play Halo 3 due to some inescapable circumstance. The possibility of anyone not knowing that the game was finally made available to the entirety of the British public today, or (perish the thought) intentionally refraining from playing is unthinkable.

I was pretty psyched at the hour or so I managed to score with the game at an Xbox event last week, but if my opinion can't sway you, how about Pharrell Williams, LL Cool J, or maybe Carmen Electra (although LL Cool J and more disappointingly, Ms Electra were only present virtually). At the launch event yesterday, said celebrities were on hand to get some deathmatch action going via Xbox Live - it was safe to say that Pharrell isn't much of a gamer, if his performance last night was anything to go by.

Our own event took part in the IMAX cinema in London and while I was unable to score myself an invite, Riyad was on-hand to report on the action. No doubt we'll hear all the details in his forthcoming review of the game, which seems just slightly superfluous because, lets face facts, we know that Microsoft will sell at least one copy per Xbox.

Indeed, if you don't have a console then now is the perfect time to pick on up. While initially I was rather dubious about the styling of the Halo 3 edition Xbox 360, having gotten hands-on (literally) with a model I have to concede to more than just a slight urge to rush out and buy one. The only question remaining is of course: what the heck are you doing reading this? You should have bought a copy of Halo 3 for everyone you know by now!
