So did you get one? I know, the weather didn’t help. It was cold, rainy, windy and altogether English, but if you're reading this with an Xbox 360 in your paws after an epic midnight queue (why aren’t you playing on it?), Congratulations!

In fact, Many Congratulations because – if you hadn’t spotted it – Riyad’s nine page monster review confirms you’ve got a cracker on your hands. Welcome to the most powerful games console ever released.

£279 (incl. VAT) is the cost of an Xbox 360 ‘Deluxe’ (it comes with the 20GB hard drive) though going rates – given their dearth – are still way beyond that. £209, on the other hand, will get you the ‘Core’ edition (no HDD) and because it makes less financial sense to purchase the two bits of kit separately there are a few more of those around.

A whole ocean’s worth of peripherals have washed up too, with face plates being the most popular accessory at £14.99 a pop and wired (£24.99) and wireless (£32.99) controllers likely to do a fine trade both for the Xbox 360 and PC. Retailers expect stock to be rarer than a Newcastle United clean sheet (Souness Out!) for the next few days, with units increasing during the second half of next week. If you’ve not braved the chills to grab your own Xbox 360, now is the time to borrow it off a friend who did while he’s recovering from pneumonia.

Ok, enough chat… Go Read Riyad’s Review!
