Give Your PSP 2.1 Speaker Sound

It seems topical at the moment to investigate all things PSP. Third party manufacturers are going nuts producing a large range of tat not worthy of touching its hallowed sides. In the great sifting process – also known as my job – the [linkout: extended X2 battery] was a rare nugget, now (at least in theory) this speaker pack from Princeton may be another.

Featuring two stereo speakers and a separate bass, Princeton’s 65dB MS-SH works like a faceplate for the PSP. Its clear, moulded centre locks in the world’s hottest gadget (with spaces left to access the controls) and taps into the console’s sound. Power and volume adjustment buttons are featured along the front, while the bass speaker booms out the rear at a near vertical angle. To avoid draining the PSP’s battery life the MS-HHS runs on three alkaline batteries, which should be good for up to 10 hours.

Too big to use on the move (28 x 10.2 x 3.8cm and 430g), the unit still has rucksackability (my own linguistic invention, patents pending!) and if you’re on a long enough bus/train ride it could be brought out to torture everyone within a fifty feet radius.

The Princeton MS-SH goes on sale immediately for 70 euros (around £47.50). You know you want an ASBO, Go For It!

Don’t confuse the 2.1 edition with the way more pants Gizmondo-esque MS-HHS the company has. Without separate bass, you just know this version will suck (pic below for avoidance purposes).
