Fujifilm FinePix Z70 - Fuji Z70 - Test Shots - Exposure Evaluation

By Cliff Smith

Our Score:

Here are some general test shots to help evaluate the camera's overall image quality, including dynamic range, colour rendition and the zoom range of the lens. Some pictures may be clicked to download the full size original image.

The wide angle end of the zoom is equivalent to 36mm.

The telephoto end is equivalent to 180mm.

The exposure meter has selected for the highlights here, but even so dynamic range is pretty awful, with little shadow detail.

Colour rendition is good, well saturated but with plenty of detail.

looking at the cathedral picture this camera seems to have more detail then the FinePix Z700 EXR you can read the writing on the building sign, and the detail in the stained glass looks sharper

I agree with Jay, the '70' easily out-details the '700' I am looking for a compact to have a 'carry round' camera, and I'm keen on there being detail. How can Fuji seemingly have a better lens/sensor/software combination in a less expensive camera

Anyone know if these are still available? Most places Dabs, Tesco etc say they're out of stock, can only find it on Amazon and here<a href="http://www.askdirect.co.uk/...
