heres my situation, by looking at my comp it seems normal. exept one pop up from a genuine software package, (bought from shop) that previously went away once i clicked on it. now the darn thing wont go away no matter how many times i click. as for anti virus 2009. some reason it seems to have dissappeared, but i know it must still be hiding somewhere. as my comp is sometimes slow but sometimes it seems just as fast as before.
the thing is, i phoned some guy up and is going to do a full reinstall for £45. but he has said that he might have to take the comp away and do ten computers at once. he seems genuine and also does other things like broadband problems, which would involve staying at someones house. so he dosent seem like a con artist. could you give me any advise on what to do and whether its worth wiping my comp. i know that anti virus 2009 is capable of starting back up after a reboot. but im new to this so any comments would help thanks

sean.

Thank you so much for your help! I just wanted to pass along this information as well. I had issues when I was trying to remove the “winsrc.dll”. It wouldn’t allow me to, so I did some research and found this AntiVirus
