CES 2009: Over and Out Comments

good round up all in all and it gives me piece of mind that consumer technology innovations won't suffer too much. Palm pre is my number one but my lowly budget is being stretched to buy an iphone, i think ill give it 6 months and then upgrade :)

The coverage was good but with over 2000 exhibitors I would have liked to have seen innovative from less main stream exhibitors.

Digesting this coverage 2009, looks to be a difficult year ahead. With very limited step change/game changing technologies avialable, there's not much to tempt me or I suspect other buyers to dig into my pocket and upgrade. On the home cinema fron I think the industry dented their sales efforts by displaying technologies such a OLED, 3DTV and 4k2k concepts but not intedning to bring them to the market till 2010.

I would have thought this year, would be the year of big releases to energise sales, but alas this was not the case. Guess its the case of batten down the hatches and weather the storm.
