Am I being greedy?
We are upgrading our Tv to 100hz 1080p. There is a difference in quality, our argument was we already went with Sky after having poor arial reception, so have become used to great quality TV already, by dropping a couple of subcription packs we are about to take the plunge and upgrade to a HD box as it will cost us only a couple of quid more. The Tv we've seen has had normal freeview played through an arial, normal DVD disc film, X box game, blue ray disc film and sony ps3 game played through (I am an assistant's nightmare customer!)
Conclusion: Not only are we buying the TV, but after holding on when it comes to next gen gaming we have decided to go with the PS3, simply because it's coming down in price and upgrade spec (slightly). It also knocks the socks off the X Box graphically and with smoother quicker reaction when playing games. The quality of blue ray film was better graphically and sound was clearer than DVD. I'm hoping that purely on what blueray is capable of it will do what VHS did with Betamax - catch up in terms of sales and eventually overtake HD when everyone realises it's limitations, although with us going for both,it's easy for me to preach, perhaps?
