This app is a fully featured music and video player for your phone that’s designed to work in tandem with the popular doubleTwist media library application that’s available for Macs and PCs. Using the two together you can sync and play iTunes playlists, podcast and videos on your phone and all tracks will be imported with their associated ratings and playcounts.
The player’s interface is beautifully designed with crisp graphics, slick menus and large easy to press buttons. There are a couple of downers at the moment, however. You can’t create playlist from within the app and there’s no coverflow style album browser. However, there is a paid for version of the software, called doubleTwist Airsync, that lets you sync music and video to your phone over Wi-Fi.
Verdict
The combination of the desktop client and mobile app makes doubletTwist one of the best media playing and syncing solutions for Android devices.
