I'd really like to see these phones tested by a group of likely users. After all, they are aimed at older people who want bigger keys, bright and clear displays and, above all, simplicity. My mother is considering replacing her old 'simple' phone but your reviews, useful as they are, don't give me much of an idea which one to suggest to her. She doesn't know what an app is, would never use internet on the phone, nor indeed, an fm tuner or a camera. But a torch might well be of use! Also, a round-up of PAYG offers for people who are probably only going to use the phone for emergencies would be helpful - my mother gets really annoyed that any credit she has runs out after six months unless she remembers to phone someone (usually her local supermarket!) just to keep the phone active.

Still too complicated for real technophobes. I've said it before and I'll say it again: screens and menus of any kind, no matter how simple, make these phones too disorientating for older people like my mother who want something that looks and works just like her landline phone: you type in a number, it calls that number, and that's it.

Just purchased this today, love it. I have been shooting photography with a DSLR for a while, no need to use the camera. Main use is prepaid; big number pad strictly for making calls only.
