I used one of these at the Predator launch event and it seemed nice enough - although I wouldn't take that as a definitive review.

Well, with a rated response time of 2ms, this ain't no IPS panel. All the good panles seems to be sold by NEC/Mitsubishi and EIZO these days with the rest of the companies mostly bringing out cheap crap... oh well, I guess it's not all bad, as you can pick up some cheap displays if you don't care too much about the quality.

Who on earth would want an orange bezel around their screen?
These contrast figures can be taken with a pinch of salt, marketing hype as usual.

Even if it is dynamic contrast then if 400 is the brightest it'll go then 0.008cd/mē must be the lowest, which is rather unbelievable (a good LCD now can get down to about 0.050CD/mē).
I do hope acer are planning a serious gaming monitor here, with the market wide-open in the 24" sector they will grab some seriously good reputation if they can bring out an IPS with zero input lag and really dark blacks.
On the other hand, if they decide on an overpriced TN then everyone's going to forget it as soon as alienware's super-wide DLP monitor appears.
