Sony Ships First Midrange 16:9 Business Projector

It had to come eventually...

Pitched at businesses, it uses Sony's 3LCD High Brightness technology and cranks out an impressive 3000 ANSI Lumens. A native 1366 x 800 WXGA resolution means the CW125 is potentially HD compatible (at least at 720p) though it lacks either DVI or HDMI inputs instead relying on two RGB which will enable it to hook up to two sources simultaneously.

Flexibility is also the name of the game with the projector both ceiling mountable and suitable for portable use. Furthermore, its 'Side Shot Digital Horizontal Shift' feature enables the CW125 to be placed off axis from the centre of the screen, highly useful for on-the-go presentations.

Finally, the CW125 is network capable which means it can be monitored remotely by an administrator who can change input modes and switch the unit on and off over the IP network using a web browser based graphical interface.

The CW125 goes on sale immediately and can be found online around the £1,500 mark. It may not be first for the bedroom, but it could be top of the list for the boardroom.
