3M is an innovative and progressive company, yet there really is no excuse for this...

The 'DMS800' raises the bar on phallic items to a previously unthinkable level. Yes, it's clever creating a space saving wall mountable, short throw projection image. Yes, it does data projectors credit managing a 1280 x 1024 native resolution with 1,300:1 contrast ratio and yes, stretching the image up to 85 inches is an impressive feat. BUT, really, come on...?!

Design team, What were you thinking? Did the head have to be that exact shape? Did the shaft have to be so proportionately 'similar'? Did it have to rest in an elevated position? Did you have to stick your company logo on the tip?

This is a classroom orientated device, there will be children present, do you want to mentally mangle every single last one of them? Clearly devious minds have been at work.

Anyone experimental brave enough to see past the DMS800's, um, intimidating design will be thrilled to know it goes on sale in red light districts Japanese stores now with a worldwide release mooted for later in the year (though I can't see how it will pass Korea's decency laws).

Thank heavens it wasn't featured in Transformers is all I can say. This is a Decepticon all the way, my friends...
