New Viewsonic Projector Lights up the Boardroom

Viewsonic has launched a new DLP projector offering a 2,700 ANSI Lumens rating. This means that the PJ755D is powerful enough to use even in bright environments. It has a native resolution of 1,024 x 768 and boasts a 2,000:1 contrast ratio.

The projector is based on a 0.7in ‘DDR’ Digital Micromirror Device (DMD), which features around 20 per cent more contrast than previous generation chips. It has a 4:3 ratio with a 16:9 mode for home cinema use.

At 3.4Kg it’s not the most portable of projectors and is best suited for taking up permanent residence in a executive suite, conference room or lecture hall, where it can throw an image up to six metres in diameter. Viewsonic claims rich, vivid colour level along with a quite operating mode of 33dB, dropping to only 30dB in whisper mode. Connectivity wise, there are D-Sub and DVI ports for PCs and notebook, as well as S-Video, component and composite.

Viewsonic promises an easy-to-use menu and a lamp life of 4,000 hours in whisper mode.

The PJ755D is available now with a recommended price of £1,499 including VAT and includes a three-year warranty.
