Not satisfied with leading the market for small form factor PCs, Shuttle has decided to launch a range of TFT monitors. The move does make sense as a svelte panel display is a perfect partner for the company’s space saving mini PCs.

In fact The XP17 is designed to specifically match Shuttle’s range of XPCs and is available in black and silver finishes.

The 17in display offers specifications that should keep the gamers happy – a native resolution of 1,280 x 1,024, a 16ms response time for smooth playback of films and games and a contrast ratio of 450:1. It can also display 16.7million colours.

For those that might want to carry it to LAN parties, the aluminium frame sports an integrated handle. There’s also an optional bag so you can protect your investment from damage when on the move. It also offers integrated DVI – with the digital connection ensuring the best possible picture quality.

The XP17 also has a neat trick up its sleeve – it can rotate by 90 degrees, which makes it perfect for viewing a word document or graphical work.

Finally, for those who want the ultimate in space saving, they can install the optional VESA standard wall mount.

As long as pricing is competitive, Shuttle looks like it has a winner on its hands. You can take a closer look at [linkout:http//www.shuttle.com www.shuttle.com].
