Hmm... this is a useful article, but honestly, how many people with a £65 camera can even afford Photoshop? The cheapest CS4 is the student edition and it costs £145
As I said earlier, this is still a useful article and one that Photoshop owning people will appreciate. But a tutorial on cheaper or freeware subtitutes would probably have been better.

The vast majority of tools and options available in Photoshop that the casual user would want are available in Photoshop Elements 7 too. I've seen that for as cheap as £50 on offer at some places.

Great presentation. How useful is this approach for correcting the problem that occurs when a short length lens (35 mm focal length on an old film based point and shoot like the Olympus Stylus) is used for a close up? The resultant "big nose" problem seems similar to barrel distortion.
Also, Photoshop is beyond my budget. Are there plugins or other solutions that work with Gimp?
