This is a detail shot of the ceiling under the Bell Tower of St Albans Abbey.

There’s some fine detail but sharpness is less than ideal.

Our shot of the grid reveals noticeable barrel distortion.

Centre sharpness was average.

As expected from the lens design, there’s blurring in the corners and noticeable fringing.
The X-915 may boast a 5x optical zoom, but the wide-end is the equivalent to just 36mm, like most 3x optical zooms.
At the longest tele-setting, equivalent to 180mm, the X-915 has more reach than most.
