The level of sharp fine detail is superb, better than most 12MP cameras can manage.





Unusually for a Panasonic Leica lens, there is some barrel distortion at the 25mm wide-angle end, however it is very slight.





Centre sharpness is excellent, and focusing is accurate too.





Corner sharpness too is very good, with no chromatic aberration.

I have seen at least one AVCHD footage from TZ7 which is supposed to be (and is according to mediainfo) 720@50p...after viewing this sample video, being in video producton for 20 y... more

I cannot open the videos taken on my TZ7 (.mts files) with imovie on my Apple Mac - can anyone advise?

iMovie must import the file from the connected camera.
Do not try to open the file directly. Let iMovie "find" it.
Personally, I dislike watching my .MTS f... more
