Really amazing standard as always from all. I loved the 'knockout punch' shot :)

A shame the fantasia morocco shot didn't get a prize, really fantastic colours punching through that photo. Also the long exposure HDR, how unusual! A very skriking image, love it.
Wouldn't the winner be more suited to entry into a photoshopping competition rather than a photography competition?

I second the knockout punch shot, very well worked. But all the photos were great, it's hard to pick a winner!

I love Tom's dandelion HDR... And well done to Fernando Cuesta for taking a winning photo with a compact!

Some fantastic entries, well done to all. One minor comment and to agree with a comment above, that's two months in a row that the competition has been won by a heavily photoshopped entry. How about two categories? Best photo wins a camera, best editing wins the software (or maybe vice-versa!).

Another great month all. I'm disappointed to say that this was the first month in about 6 or 7 that I couldn't enter due to other commitments.
@NickR - Of course that particular debate could rage forever and a day. I personally feel that providing the image originated as a photograph, i.e., was taken via light sensitivity then in an open competition such as this anything is fair game. Given the likely number of entries (assume fairly low compared to say a major exhibition/competition) I feel that separating edited from non-edited somehow says that one can't be as good as the other (the way round would depend on your stand point).

I have to agree with NickR and was a little disappointed that the first prize went to such a heavily photo shopped picture again and think a dual section would be a great idea. For these people that do "photo art" well done but I would prefer to see it in a separate section. At the end of the day I believe we should be able to be creative with our cameras not having to sit 20hrs at the computer screen to make something creative and then call it a "photo".
