Can you recommend something similar (or not too much more expensive) which *isn't* glacially slow to autfocus? I am looking for a cheap-ish compact, don't need any bells or whistles, but the one crucial feature is that it must be able to focus (relatively well, even in low-ish light) fairly quickly. My wife's main complaint with our first digital (a Canon S45) was that, by the time it had focussed and taken the shot, the subject had moved.

Casio's ultra-compacts are excellent value for money, and have very fast autofocus.

Just bought this camera from makro for £69.99 + vat what a bargain!!!
Quality of photos are excellent,easy to use,would recommend to anyone who is after a 10mp camera on a small budget

You gave the M50 8/10, but this M60 gets 7/10 for image quality. Is the lens and hardware all that different?
