Here are some general test shots to help evaluate the camera's overall image quality, including the zoom range of the lens. Some pictures may be clicked to download the full size original image.
The wide-angle end is equivalent to 35mm on a 135 film camera, adequate for most purposes.
The telephoto end of the 4x zoom lens is equivalent to 140mm.

Colour rendition is excellent.

There are some black shadows and burned-out highlights on this high-contrast shot.

Flash exposure, range and coverage are very good, although the red-eye removal isn't terribly effective.

Amazon currently have the T700 (in certain colours) for £215: how does that affect the value score for this review and does it make it worth buying?
