Excellent tutorial. I have a question that you may be able to answer. I am a planning officer in Inverness, Scotland dealing with mostly wind farm developments. A contentious subject is the visualisation of wind farms by photomontage. Most developers use photographs taken with a 50mm focal length lens on a 35mm equivalent Digital Single Lens Reflex camera stating that this best represents what the human eye sees. However, when I look through my DSLR camera fitted with a short telephoto lens the best match in terms of scale of the landscape in the viewfinder with what I actually see is about a 75mm focal length lens. In the literature about the human eye it is usually stated that the focal length of the eye is about 22mm. Does the brain magnify the central image to about the equivalent of a 75mm lens? Or is something else going on? I would welcome your thoughts.

Your Photography Tutorials are excellent. I must admit, after many years of photography, I have not perfected this art - I always feel I could have done better. That keeps the interest going. Thanks.
