A range of general test shots are shown over the next two pages. In some cases, the full size image has been reduced for bandwidth purposes, and a crop taken from the original full resolution image has been placed below it to show the overall image quality. Some other pictures may be clicked to view the original full-size image.

Skin tones are rendered very naturally, producing excellent results in the studio.

Exposure metering is very accurate.

The metering copes well with these bright highlights.

Shooting at 1/45sec I was able to get sharp results, but I wouldn't recommend going lower.

What is the shutter lag time on this camera? Which Pentax model has the lowest lag time, accepts the Kmount lenses and is in the $400 to $600 price range.

Can you use old K mount lenses on this camera ?
If so what is the focal length conversion factor ?
