Hot off the production line, the new Tamrac Adventure Messenger 4 is a medium sized camera bag with some very nice features. As always from Tamrac, it is a very practical bag, with a useful variety of pockets, even including an external phone/MP3 player slot.

In a security-conscious attempt to make it look less obviously like a camera bag, the 5534 is rather conservative in design, but I think the idea of making it more discrete is a good one. To the casual glance it looks more like a satchel or messenger bag anyway, a much less tempting target for an opportunistic snatcher.
Good divider design make placement and arranging quick and simple. On the inside its extra depth makes it surprisingly roomy, with enough space for an SLR and lens, a couple of extra lenses, and a flash. A generous zipped front pocket is available for accessories or personal items.

Made from Ballistic Nylon and PolyTek, the 5543 offers great durability and strength, plus outstanding weatherproofing. As well as the shoulder strap, there is a carrying handle, and a ‘Piggy-Back Pocket' for attaching the bag to rolling luggage. Tamrac also offers an array of add-on products that use the Strap Accessory System, like additional lens cases, accessory pockets, or even a water bottle holder.
A practical, well made, and comfortable camera bag designed with safety in mind. A definite vote of confidence from me.
