Digital Camera Tutorial: Snow Scenes

Last week I talked about how to keep your camera working properly in winter weather, so this week I want to explain how to take better photos in winter, or more specifically, in snow.

If you've ever taken any photos where most of the background was white snow, you've probably discovered that they hardly ever look good. That crisp, white snow comes out looking grey and murky, while your skiing partners come out looking very dark and under-exposed. There is a very good reason for this, and fortunately it is very easy to correct.
