PowerShot SX110IS
As well as the new DSLR, Canon has also announced four new compact cameras. First up is the new PowerShot SX110IS, a high-spec long-zoom compact which joins the SX100 IS launched towards the end of 2007.

The SX110 has the same 36-360mm (equiv.) 10x compact zoom optically-stabilised lens as the SX100, but adds a new body design and a 9.0-megapixels sensor. It has a full range of manual exposure and focusing controls, as well as a range of automatic modes for ease of use.

The SX110 features a 3.0-inch LCD wide-view monitor, DIGIC III processing, VGA 30fps video and face detection.

The SX110 IS will be available from September with an RRP of £239 inc. VAT.
