F60fd
Rather more ambitious is the F60fd, a high-spec premium compact that Fuji is no doubt hoping will gather the same sort of praise that was heaped upon the F40fd, rather than the general disappointment that greeted the F50fd.

The new camera features a large 12-megapixel 1/1.6-inch SuperCCD VII HR, a 3x optical zoom lens (35-105mm equivalent), an upgraded Face Detection system, a new Scene Recognition system, a 3-inch 230k monitor and sensor-shift image stabilization. Like previous F-series compacts it also offers full manual control and an all-metal body.

The F60fd will be available in September at a price that is yet to be announced.
