Panasonic Launches Four New Digital Cameras

Last but by no means least is the DMC-FX37, which supersedes the impressive FX35 at the top of Panasonic's successful luxury ultra-compact range.

Keen observers will notice that the FX37 bears a very close resemblance to its predecessor. In fact its specification is almost identical, including its 10.1-megapixel resolution sensor, 2.5-inch 230k LCD monitor and Venus Engine IV processor. Like the FX35 it also features Intelligent Auto mode and HD movie recording.

There are some differences however, most notably in the lens department. The FX37 features a 5x zoom Leica DC lens with a wide-angle equivalent to 25mm, slightly better than the FX35's 4x zoom 25mm version.

The FX37 is available in a range of colours including black, silver, blue, pink and brown, although not all colours will be available in all territories. As you've probably guessed if you've read this far the camera will be going on sale sometime in August, at a price of £249.99.
