Cyber-shot DSC-H50

As well as the W300, Sony has also announced a new SLR-style superzoom camera, the DSC-H50. With a 15x zoom, f/2.7 - f/4.5 lens with a focal length range equivalent to 31-465mm and a 1/2.3-inch 9.1-megapixel Super HAD CCD sensor, the H50 surpasses the 8-megapixel DSC-H9 as the top model in the superzoom H series.

Features include a 3-inch 230k tilting monitor, improved face detection with high speed subject tracking, Smile shutter and Bionz processor with Dynamic Range Optimiser and a maximum sensitivity of 3200 ISO. The H50 will be launched in early May, and a price will be announced closer to that date.
