The other stand-alone model is the new 10.1-megapixel DMC-FX35, which is rather more interesting. Its key selling point is its unusual 4x zoom lens, which has a focal length range equivalent to 25-100mm, making it one of the widest-angle digital compacts on the market.
As well as this USP, it also features 1280x720 HD video shooting at 30fps, as well as the apparently standard features of Mega OIS optical image stabilisation and Venus Engine IV processing with 6400 ISO maximum sensitivity.
