NV4
As well as the new DSLR, Samsung has also launched several new models in its award-winning NV range of compact cameras. The NV4 is an ultra-thin 8-megapixel model featuring an internal 3x zoom lens, a 2.5" LCD screen, Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) system and Red-Eye Fix technology. It also has Samsung's SRS sound effect function giving it powerful movie and music capabilities. It will be going on sale in March priced at £149.

NV30
The NV 30 is the new mid-range model of the NV series. It is an 8 megapixel camera with a 3x zoom Schneider lens, a 2.5 "intelligent" LCD screen and maximum sensitivity of ISO 3200. It too features Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) and Red-Eye Fix technology. Like the rest of the NV range the NV30 boasts a smart touch user interface for a more intuitive and user-friendly handling. Its battery can be recharged by the supplied charger or via a USB connection. The NV30 goes on sale in March at a price of £179.

NV40
Nearer to the top of the NV range is the stylish new NV40, a 10-megapixel model with a 3x zoom Schneider lens with both optical and digital image stabilisation. Its 2.5-inch LCD screen includes automatic brightness control. It also features the improved Smart Touch control system. It goes on sale in March at a recommended price of £199.

NV24HD
The new flagship of the NV range is the NV24HD, another 3x zoom 10-megapixel model which features an advanced movie recording mode capable of shooting in 720p High Definition at 30fps. It also features a new high-contrast 2.5-inch OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display, the first of its kind on a digital camera (Actually Kodak had a camera a few years ago with an OLED screen, but it was much smaller and not as high contrast). OLED technology is much more energy efficient, giving better battery duration.

The NV24HD also features optical image stabilisation, 3200 ISO maximum sensitivity and an improved Smart Touch control system. It goes on sale in March with a recommended price of £249.
